Bespoke Finishing (By Hand)
Studio 281 Gallery frames are designed with deliberate consideration for the artwork. Accents created with waxes, stains and varnishes are carefully applied by hand to ensure a high-end finish.
Memorabilia Framing
Turning personal and historical treasures into custom wall art instantly adds vibrancy to your home, office or commercial space. Assembled collections of artefacts such as coins, maps, tickets and postcards create uniquely rich and relevant presentations.
Canvas Services
Studio 281 Gallery manufacture blank artist canvasses in-house, specialising in extra large canvasses. We also offer stretching of rolled canvasses that are already painted or printed. We reccomend silouhette or slip frames for display.
Bulk Framing, Special Deals
Exclusive rates are applicable for high volume orders, when the frame specifications are the same or similar. Exhibiting artists are eligible for pricing deals on custom framing, making it accessible to frame entire collections.
Moulding Options
Our comprehensive library of mouldings features Australian timbers and a curated selection of classic and contemporary styles. Mouldings are matched to artwork by in-person consultation. Hand finishes for added character are available on request.
Glass Options
Our range of UV resistant glass, non-reflective glass, museum grade glass and Perspex options provide outstanding protection for your valuable artwork and optimise display according to artwork placement and preservation requirements.
Mat Board Options
Mat Board creates space between the artwork and the frame, giving the artwork room to breathe visually and physically. Mat board options include: coloured, suede, reflective, white core, black core, cotton, museum grade and archival.
In our experience, framed artwork sells much faster than unframed pieces. Discounted rates on custom framing are available for exhibiting artists.
